Foam Concrete

In the past three years Bartels & Vedder worked together with Autark, Faber and SGS Intron in developing new foam concrete, which needed to be watertight, consistent, and stronger. Besides that, there was the need to be able to re- enforce the foam concrete for structural use, and to find new ways of building floating foundations on location, and in the water.

This lead to an innovative foam concrete which is completely watertight in comparison to the old foam concrete. Besides that, a more stable air bubble column can be created, so that the foam concrete can be poured in the desired thickness in one go, compared to the old recipe of foam concrete, which needed more layers, and therefore more pours and more time to manufacture.
